Deep breath. Night air. Spring air. Blackbirds. I stand outside and watch the slice of moon. And the stars arrive. I wait for the owls, for their calls. They keep me awake in summer from their perch on the two trees above my home. They are most welcome here.

It is a great time of year isn't it? The bird life is amazing, vibrant. Here in Yorkshire the dawn and dusk chorus is breath-taking. So worth getting up for!
